La plupart de ces motifs se traitent, souvent sans chirurgie, à condition de ne pas trop attendre. Une maladie de La Peyronie prise en phase inflammatoire ne se traite pas comme une courbure installée depuis deux ans. Et un trouble de l'érection qui s'installe mérite un bilan général autant qu'urologique : il est parfois le premier signe d'autre chose.
