There&#8217;s no point in hiding things: every procedure carries risks, even if, in our case, they remain very low. The technique is standardized, precise, and serious complications are very rare. The result:<br> \ud83d\udc49 The infection rate is between 0.5% and 2% depending on the profiles. <\/p><p><strong>The patients most at risk are:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>patients whose diabetes is poorly controlled<\/li><li>patients who did not stop smoking at the time of the operation and in the month following it<\/li><li>those who have already had an infection on an implant,<\/li><li>or immune disorders.<\/li><\/ul><p>In the vast majority of cases, everything goes perfectly well.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0efbb84 class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>To be clear: it&#8217;s generally not &#8220;pain&#8221;, but rather discomfort.<br><br> Most patients tell me:<br> <em>&#8220;I thought it would hurt more, but actually it didn&#8217;t.&#8221;<\/em><br><br> Simple painkillers are sufficient.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div Failures sometimes occur after several years. In such cases, the defective part or the entire implant can be replaced.  <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4769dea elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"4769dea\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Erosion\n\n\n<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7d34fec6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7d34fec6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Very rare, but possible in some fragile patients: this occurs when the implant presses too hard against the internal tissues.<br> It can be detected early if the monitoring is done properly.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-21d8ab7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"21d8ab7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Fibrosis or persistent discomfort\n\n\n\n<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3bfaf02 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3bfaf02\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThis occurs in a small number of patients, particularly those who already had fibrosis of the corpora cavernosa before the procedure.\n In that case, we adjust, we re-educate, we provide support.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-76984be9 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"76984be9\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-12b7c5ba elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"12b7c5ba\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">3.
